Hi Tamara,
I am such a huuge fan. I think your monkeys are absolutely amazing. Your sewing skills are the best.
I hope you don’t mind giving a few tips to monkey
making newbies like myself as I have a few questions.
1/ how do you get your ears sooo equal?
2/ how do you make your stitching look soo invisible especially on the mouth area and the arms. You can hardly see how they connect.
Help!
Keep the monkeys coming!

Hi Natasha!
Thank you so much for your kind words.
I am always happy to help other monkey makers!
1/ how do you get your ears sooo equal?
I have templates made from card stock that I use to trace the ears on the socks before I sew them.
I can sew the rest of the seams with no markings, but trying to sew an even circle without a line is beyond me.
2/ how do you make your stitching look soo invisible especially on the mouth area and the arms. You can hardly see how they connect.
The key to this- make your stitches very small and close together. This of course makes the sewing take a lot longer, but it will also make the joins much stronger.
Hope that helps!
Thanks again for the nice post.
Tamara
